I hiked along the cliffs of Kauaii with my parents when I took this one. It was a last minute, spontaneous trip for me and I was in the middle of my creative writing degree. Around this time I wrote a poem titled "What My Lonliness Does", full of imagery found in Kauaii. It's a soft, unasking poem, and feels like the colors found in this photo. I also have a painting of this.
